BWNC will be holding our next trailing camp on May 28 and 29, 2016. While not specifically designed for beginner dogs, like our last trailing camp, beginners are always welcome. We will meet at the "Duck Pond" parking lot (412 Aviation Blvd., Santa Rosa, CA 95403) at 8 a.m. and will proceed to trail locations from there.
The cost of the camp is $35 per dog if you attend only one day, or $50 per dog if you attend both days. All camp proceeds will be used to support our November Trailing Trial, which has been applied for and is currently awaiting ABC approval (mark your calendars for November 5 & 6 as the tentative dates, again, pending ABC approval).
We will break around mid-day for a no-host lunch. Please bring something to eat and drink for your lunch, or you can get something from one of the many local fast-food restaurants. We should be done around 4 p.m. each day.
Remember to bring your trailing gear, camp chairs, water and possible cool coats for your dogs, depending on weather. If expected to be hot, we will bring the club shade tents.
Let me know if you plan to attend, so that we can get a feel for how many dogs will be participating. AS ALWAYS, WE COULD DESPERATELY USE VOLUNTEERS WHO WILL NOT BE HANDLING DOGS TO BE OUR TRAIL RUNNERS. Please consider being a runner if you are not busy that weekend.
The PRBC's Trailing Trial in Enumclaw, WA is less than 4 months away (August 20 & 21, 2016), so if you plan to enter, this would be good practice for that event before the weather gets too warm.
We are looking forward to a fun time. Hope to see you there.
